At one point in time, the Shedd Aquarium used to be the world's largest indoor aquarium as it held 5 million US gallons of water! You better believe that each and every tank in the Shedd Aquarium had a top notch safety seal.

The Shedd Aquarium has exhibits that run all year long. Some of their more popular ones include a Waters of the World exhibit which shows you oceans, lakes, and rivers from all over the world, an Amazon Rising exhibit which recreates the Amazon river, an exhibit on the Caribbean Reef that lets you explore what an underwater reef community looks like, an Oceanarium exhibit that makes you feel like you're a part of a coastal ecosystem and gets you to discover how animals are related to each other and you, as well as a Wild Reef exhibit that gives each visitor the ability to feel like a diver and get as close to sharks and garden eels as they possibly can.

A few animals that you'll find during your trip to the Shedd Aquarium include Pacific white-sided dolphins, sea lions, penguins, green sea turtles, and Alaska sea otters, just to name a few. Whether you're an architect in Canada or the United States, you'll marvel at the structure and design of the Shedd Aquarium.
